Crew Profile

CAPTAIN DAN DOUGLAS
AMERICAN

Captain Dan has been boating since childhood on his family's lake boat. He quickly developed a love of all water sports, which carried on into his adult life as a Divemaster and Instructor. Dan hails from Ohio, but don't let that fool you, he is a Michigan Wolverines fan. When he is not watching college football, his true team is the Washington Capitals.

Dans career path started in the hospitality field managing simultaneous restaurant concepts, making the switch over to yachting seem easy. He jumped right into his yachting career with several summers going up and down the East Coast and winters in the Bahamas. He currently holds his 200T Master USCG license and his 500T International, with the drive to move up to his 1600T in the near future. He has since captained the waters of the Caribbean, San Juans, Western Canada, and the entire Eastern and Western seaboard of the U.S. Now onboard M/Y Hannah, Dan is pursuing his dream of developing a well-loved charter program and keeping her in the best possible condition. Dan brings with him a great enthusiasm for entertaining our guests and making lasting memories, with safety being his top priority.

CHEF - GILLIAN WRIGHTSON
AMERICAN

Gillian grew up just outside of Washington, DC in the suburbs of Maryland. Her childhood revolved around the water, learning to swim, sail, and crab on Chesapeake Bay and Lake Michigan in the summers. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Art Studio and Design, she embarked on her hospitality journey. Working her way up in the hotel world, she found herself as part of the corporate opening team for Kimpton Hotels all while holding the Food and Beverage AGM position at the local South Beach Hotel in Miami. This heightened her love for travel and she quickly realized she would rather travel for work on the high seas. She joined the wonderful world of yachting in 2018 as a cook/stew. Enthusiastically finding herself with a passion for the culinary arts, she committed to a full-time position in the galley. She has now sailed the entire East and West coast of the United States including Alaska, Central America through the Panama Canal, a few Caribbean islands, and a vast majority of the Bahamas. Her passion for food shines brightly through all of the dishes she creates.

CHIEF STEWARDESS - BRENDA FERREL
PERUVIAN

Brenda joined M/Y Hannah in January 2021. She has an AA in Hospitality and Tourism Management as well as 9 years’ experience in the yacht industry. Moreover, she has worked onboard a variety of private and heavy charter boats in the US East coast, Caribbean and the Mediterranean since 2013. Brenda has a very kind and easy-going personality, with a splash of charm and good humor, and always strives to deliver exceptional hospitality and strong connections with her guests. She has a fine eye for detail, and always ensures that those around her are well taken care of, with smiles on their faces. She enjoys creating new forms of decorative tablespaces, delicious cocktails, and thoughtful treats.
Languages: Fluent English and Spanish.

SECOND STEWARDESS - DECK - Kate Caulfield
AMERICAN

Kate was raised right outside of Sacramento, California alongside her mother, father, and two sisters. From a very young age Kate knew that the water would always be a part of her life. She grew up on the local swim team and spent every weekend camping at the nearest lake. She was an avid water skier, wakeboarder, and surfer all throughout her childhood.

For college, Kate attended Colorado State University, graduating with her Bachelor Degree in animal science. After her schooling, Kate decided she wanted to venture out and start her Maritime career. She is beyond excited for her future on motor yacht Hannah and in the industry in general.
